ATTENTION ALL ATLANTA
KIWI’S: We need
each of you to provide the
name of a special contact
person and their telephone
number to use if we cannot
reach you directly about
your health situation.
Please e-mail or call
Bettye Betts with this
valuable information. Thank
you.
Dee DiBuono is
walking now with a cane. She
can drive short distances
and is seeing her doctor
February 6th.
Karen Bremer
developed food poisoning
from meatballs that she had
in her refrigerator too
long. She had to go to the
Emergency Room because of
dizziness. She developed
high blood pressure and
vertigo. She saw her doctor
for a check-up of her inner
ear, January 30th. The
doctor saw nothing wrong
with her inner ear.
Everything was clear. Good
news for Karen!
Joe Rullan (Bobbi’s
husband) is continuing to
improve.
Fred Betts' (Bettye's husband) Chemo Therapy is on
its fourth week. He is keeping up with health, nutrition and
medication. Bettye says, "We have a lot of confidence in
'our doctor.' Fred has a positive attitude and prayers
are most needed as always.
Rudi Caruthers' splint is off, and she only puts it
on when she takes her walks or runs. She has three more
weeks of physical therapy.
Mary Moss's great-grandchild, Laura, 7 years old, has
been released from Children’s Hospital. She was diagnosed
with Mitochonerial disorder when she was born prematurely.
She has no use of her muscles and she cannot speak. She
smiles and laughs. Mary Moss’ granddaughter, Melanie, feeds
Laura through a tube and is there with her every day. Mary
Moss’ daughter, Sharon, helps Melanie one day a week.
Prayers for the family are most appreciated.
Gloria Baublits' physical therapist is no longer
needed and her occupational therapist is no longer needed.
She does her therapy in her home by herself. Her daughters,
Barbara and Nancy, are around to take her out. As for her
safety, she will always need the walker.
“Finally,
all of you have unity of spirit, sympathy, love for one
another,
a tender heart, and a humble mind.”
